Custom instructions allow you to tailor how Olympia assistants interact with you during conversations. Simply set your preferences, and we'll remember them for all your future interactions.

For instance, a teacher creating a lesson plan only needs to mention once that they teach 3rd grade science, and it's noted for future reference. Similarly, a developer who prefers efficient coding in a language other than Python can specify this preference a single time, and it will be consistently recognised thereafter.

There are two ways to set Custom Instructions. First, you can apply them through your account settings to affect all your agents globally. Alternatively, you can customise each agent individually on their specific page for a more tailored experience.

Let's go over where to find each option:

To set global instructions:

  1. Sign in and head to your dashboard.
  2. Click your profile image at the bottom left of the screen and select “Account Settings”

  1. On the next page, you'll see the "Custom Instructions" option on the left side of your screen. Click on it to open it.

On the Custom Instructions page, you’ll find two separate fields where you can add instructions.
